Meridith here! So excited to share this session, the one I did for my own little baby Miss Emmy Grace! I dragged my postpartum self to the studio 8 days after she was born to photograph her the same way I do all my little clients 🙂
Emmy was born right before Christmas so I of course had to do at least one holiday inspired setup then moved on to the neutrals I love so much!
Caught a few little smiles along the way!
I was so excited to use this little camera prop…and so was she!
But of course it wasn’t all sleepy baby Emmy…she definitely gave me a run and had some serious awake time! I took full advantage and captured all of her very expressive faces 🙂
The next day I brought her sisters in for their turn! They are so in love with their little sister and couldn’t wait for their chance to hold her for a picture. It was beyond adorable and I am so happy to have these memories of my own babies forever.
You know I will be documenting Miss Emmy as she grows so stay tuned here and of course on our Facebook page www.facebook.com/maxmeridithrachel and on Instagram @maxgreystudio

this boy is almost 2!
shhhhhhh, I know.
but the biggest news is this boy is also about to become the middle child!!!
another home birth, another newborn, another sibling.
happy heart. happy dance.
so here you go gunnar, here is your moment of glory as the “baby”. this may also be your last moment as the only boy, we shall see!
I am banking on another boy…
until then, baby gunnar and big sis harper are hangin’ on the blog today!
mom: “everyone should bathe with their baby. everyone.”
this newborn was 5 days,
and found the most relishing comfort in a warm tea bath with mom and sister.
so simple, but so deeply emotionally effective.
here is just another rendition of family, child, and newborn photography.
it comes in many forms, but the importance of it is found in YOUR form.
